Fugitive Wizard - Obscuri Æternum

Urizen It opens with ambient dungeon synth bars, which quickly devolve into mesmerising, raw black metal. The synthesisers do well to complement the metallic riffs that sing over an artillery-like drum. The vocals are passable; the lyrics are able to be parsed, which is not always the case with black metal albums. "Lord's Grave" and "Falls of Time" are synth tracks, ambient and contemplative. "Wayward Barbarian" is like a scream across the sky. The finale is calm and meditative synth. Favorite track: Eldritch Knights.

What wouldst ye do to retain thy honor? Shall ye drinketh of the grail, to gallop eternally bestride the immortal knights of old? Or doth ye seek death, that ye may feast forever in the halls of thy ancestors? Eitherfore, ye live by the blade, letting battle be thy guide. Hone thy craft, swordsman, for the melee shall be vast and challenging, and thy enemies numberless. And I may yet have use of thee.
